Photo 101

I'm taking photo 1 in school this semester. It's a film only class that has really forced me to slow down and learn how to use an SLR camera. I think it's making my digital photography and photoshop skills better oddly enough. Anyway, I wanted to post this series of photos I'm pretty proud of. The final image still isn't perfect, but hey, cut me some slack I'm only in photo 1. The top left image was the first one I printed, then by controlling how long and where the light hits my print in the dark room, I ended up with my final print. I was amazed at how much improvement could be done in a dark room and not on a computer. Now I just need my actual photography skills to improve so I don't have to do that much work on every photo.

Very cool Amy. That Ayden is absolutely darling. (did I spell her name right?)

I took a photography course in high school. Learned all about aperture and f-stops and other photog nonsense. It definitely improved my photography skills, but I've forgotten a lot and your post makes me wanna run over to the community college and takes some classes with the young folks.
